Since I haven't made the time to blog, I thought I would at least give my readers (if anyone is still hanging on) an amazing link to check out. In my long absence, my sweet baby girl turned ONE!!!!!! Here are her 1 year pics!

We are leaving right now for our vacation to GA! We will be meeting up with my fam in GA! Yay! Then we are going with the Dan & Joy clan to Blue Ridge. Their family friends from Ohio are meeting us there. Should be a great time! Looking forward to it. I will fill you in when we get back!

Anniversary Getaway!

Celebrated our 5th anniversary a few weeks early...

1st event: Late lunch with Kim and Andrew in Ellenton at Hickory Hallow BBQ (small town, dinky little restaurant with horrid decor, but great food and a lot of it)

2nd event: Marriott World Center in Orlando (mom came with us and took care of Rea for us...dad joined her later)

3rd event: Chilli's take out on our balcony (too cheap for room service)

4th event: sleeping in...wanted to see if I could still do it. I woke up at 6:30 and swore it was at least 9:30...I was wrong. Enjoyed a large, well done breakfast buffet.

5th event: LAYED BY THE POOL...read a good book and drank a strawberry daiquiri!!!!

6th event: went shopping...caught myself spending more on Rea then us.

7th event: dinner at California Pizza Kitchen (Cheesecake Factory's wait us too long and I was hungry!)

8th event: Home Sweet Home to a sleeping baby

Things to remember....

...when I was cleaning the bathroom and Reagan was standing against the bathtub. I turned and she went from the tub to the toilet.....her hands were on the toilet bowl!!! Yuck! The beginning to gross things...

....the way she responds to "no". She either stops what she's doing and moves on or keeps doing it and watches to see what will happen.

...the way she finds random little objects and crawls around with them in her hand....i.e. a large di, package of chalk, the state Hawaii (from a puzzle of the US)


...when she figured out which button on the sesame alphabet bus sang the ABC's obnoxiously. She hits the button then sits back and claps.

...the way she finds objects on the floor and then hands them to me when I ask for them.

...the first time she threw up in her bed...then in her high chair...then on the floor...poor baby!

Got to love the good with the bad!

Beach debut on Memorial Day

Reagan had her first trip to the beach this week. She stayed on the sheet looking for food most of the time...surprise, surprise! She ventured in the sand and wasn't too bothered with it. After a bit, she tried to eat it...then she tried to wipe it out of her mouth which then led to it getting all over her face. Although the water was chilly at first, she did fine overall. We'll probably go again. It's just so much work to get rid of the sand and mess afterwards.
Look like a regular day at the public beach??? The peeps in the background are just a fraction of the Adams family that were with us.

Wedding Weekend

Jon's cousin, Ethan, got married this past weekend on Boca Grande. It was super hot and humid; however, we had a great time with friends and family. Isn't my man handsome?!?

Things on my mind....

I often post pics because they sum things up well, but this one will be my thoughts only....scary...haha...

1. Tonight after bath, lotion, hair brushing, jammies, etc....I turned Rea's light out and was kissing her before putting her to bed...she fussed and wanted me to hurry up and lay her down...Although I wanted to love on her, I am so very grateful that she goes to bed so well!!!


2. The whole Jon and Kate Plus 8 business...I feel so burdened and heartbroken and I've never met them in my life...these are real lives, real people....8 precious little ones watching and taking it all in. The ripples of divorce are immeasurable....the best thing I can do for Reagan and my future children is to love their daddy and fight for him.


3. Lighter thoughts...received Rea's invitations for her big 1st birthday bash!!!!!


4. I finished packing up Rea's 0-6 months clothes....when did she get so big?!?!?


5. Surprised Gabrielle and Ethan today...today was there last day in the lunch room, so I brought them smoothies and had lunch with them...think they were more excited to see Reagan. As always, I enjoyed seeing my former students...they are getting so big...I really miss them! Not sure what the plans are for the fall...


6. I'm trying to be content in the place I am right now...living for today, enjoying the moments...don't want to rush into the future...


7. Today is Jon's little sis' 3rd anniversary...Congrats Kels and Al!!! They are great people! (Ok, I lied. Here is a picture...just one. I guess I really can't post without using pics.)

That's about it...not too bad, huh?
