Best Buds!

Meet Reagan's best bud (cousin), Addie....

(Rea not wanting her pic taken.)

(So happy about their cookies at Publix. Rea devoured hers, of course, and then grabbed Addie's to finish it. Sweets freak!)

(Helping Addie get unstuck.)

(Watching TV in baskets.)

(Your first met Addie here. She's the second baby.)

Aunt Tara always watches Rea when I'm in the library on Tuesdays, so today we got to return a favor and play with Addie at our house.

They play so well together. It's quite a treat!

March 2011 Baby

In our busyness in life, I haven't blogged much about our newest little one. It's still surreal. It's hard to believe we're having another one, it's hard to believe that there is a little person inside of me, it's hard to believe this is a WHOLE NEW child and not Reagan again, etc. Folks have said after your first pregnancy, the others go faster...I'm not sure if I think that yet. Maybe it's because I'm still trying to grasp it all and since I don't "feel" pregnant. Here's the latest....
I am due March 24th. This was our ultrasound from August 23rd. I was 9 weeks or so.
This is the same day, but a 3D picture.

Here is my last one from September 13th. I was 12 weeks here.

This week I am almost 15 weeks....3.5 months and the child is the size of a navel orange (4.5 in.) I am in my second trimester and am feeling great! I never had morning sickness during the first trimester, but I was exhausted all the time and had NO motivation to do anything....hence the quiet, boring blog. It was actually quite annoying, no matter what I did, I was a bump on a log. I thrive on productivity, so now I am trying to make up for lost time. I actually think it would be fabulous if I could start the "nesting" period now and let it continue for the next 25 weeks! I have gained 5 pounds already and am looking like I'm "retaining water". Cole's description. :) It's true, I look like a girl that is eating poorly and not exercising...a serious muffin top. I know it's all part of the game!
I'm craving......FOOD...just about all kinds! Craving protein again which was the same with Rea. I haven't been able to get my mind and stomach to align yet...I think I'm just ravished and order an 8 course meal, then I take a few bites and am full. Oh well! That's my only complaint.
Rea has very little idea of what is about to hit her. I think when I start to show more, she will start to put 2 and 2 together. She will move to the old office in the next few months and her room will stay the nursery. We'll see how that goes.
Boy Name: Brayden Michael (JMA's middle name), another name I like, but won't be needed this time around because we aren't having twins...Leeland Daniel or Robert (Leeland is the name of my late-great uncle, Daniel is JMA's dad's name, and Robert is ALL over my family, but specially my dad's name and my brother's name)
Girl Name Possibilities: Kendall Joy (ruled out), Braydie Joy (ruled out), Kennedy Joy (ruled out-too presidential), Rileigh Joy, Braylee Joy (Joy is JMA's mom's name)
Any suggestions?
If it's a boy, I've eyed these two bedding sets, but I'm not sold on either...I just like that they aren't the typical animal theme that seems to be the thing everyone does.
You see, I want to keep the green part of the nursery the same and paint the pink part, so I need to keep that color in mind.
We should find out "what" our child "is" in October. I'll keep you posted! I've been planning on a gender reveal party, so you, my friend, will be the next to know.
I think this is all for now. I will try to do better with the updates.

Party Hard

We spent most of the day in Lakeland today for Abigail's 5th birthday party. AEA is turning into just a fine young lady...so sweet, so mature, so observant. I know we all say it, but I can't believe she's 5! Rea played super hard, skipping nap time. She passed out shortly after getting on the road.

Side note... Yesterday after nap time, she asked for her harmonica from her bookshelf. Jon showed how to play. After we played around with, she gave it a try and pleasantly surprised with the outcome. :) Video coming when we get home...

Side Note: In the beginning of this tiny video, it sounds like JMA and I are having a "discussion" about a family membership and then it sounds like I disrespectfully ask him if he can read something again. I was asking Rea if she could play the harmonica again. We were giving Rea our full attention.

Have I mentioned...

...how big my little baby is getting?

She has been observing and commenting on my painted toes lately. Well, she saw nail polish the other day and asked for it on her toes. She sat so still!!!

(I know! Not very flattering of my toes!)

She played so hard this past Sunday between church and cousins that she passed out on the couch.

Baby Belly

I'm not normally one for a huge, exposed, massive pregnant belly (no matter how big the miracle inside is), but this is just too cute. Nice job dad (creator) and mom (good sport)!

Big

Today was one of those days filled with a lot of moments when I say to myself, "she's really getting big!"

So I think I'll take this opportunity to update the blog.

Even with my determination to keep Miss Dora out of my house, she has become a favorite! However, we have a TV out upstairs and a DVD player out downstairs, so we've had an extended break.

I'm realizing how comfortable and brave she is with water...bath and shower is a favorite.

She makes me laugh!

We got a new electric toothbrush. (While in the toothbrush aisle one day, she grabbed a Thomas the Train toothbrush, said "buy" and started walking to the register. This was funny to me because she had never asked for anything at the store before let alone discuss the word "buy")

I have been known to bribe her with extra bubbles after a trip to the park. (Don't worry...this is a natural Shaklee product without perfumes, so no fear of UTIs.) (This is her smiling, of course.)

She has a love-hate relationship with bugs. Loves to spot them, loves to watch them, loves to poke at them, loves to squish them and flush them down the toilet. Here she went and got her potty stool, so she could look for bugs out the window.

Today she totally surprised me with the sounds for m, s, d, t, p and maybe a couple others. She still only says 2 when she counts. When I asked her what her baby's name was today, she replied "2" and held up a few fingers. Here she has identified the owl and is telling me the sound it makes.

I also think we have (almost) mastered identifying genders. Tonight at dinner she told me she and I are girls and daddy and Papa are boys. Next goal...saying her name and using more words, less whining when kids annoy her!

Love her fabulous personality!
