Great weekend catching up on house projects and family time....even squeezed in two dinner dates with friends.

So close!

I love Christmas Eve...even more than Christmas day!

Baking done and distributed! Presents purchased, wrapped, and under tree! House straightened! Chicken thawing for dinner! Rea's new kitchen from Mimi and Papa put together and covered with a sheet! Laundry put away! Guests on the way! Rea taking a great nap!

This is the calm before the storm...a great storm! Love the storm! It's the story of my life and I wouldn't want any other way!

Having us some tacos...then to service in the park...back to the house for 500 desserts made by Julie, the Christmas story and our year in review...and then presents!

I better keep going...straighten the play room and get dressed still to do.

Shout out to my favorite peep...A. Pinder! Her 26th birthday was yesterday!!! Hope it was fabulous and looking forward to celebrating Saturday. Hope you're home or at least on your way by now.

MERRY CHRISTMAS EVE TO ALL!!!!!!!!!!!!

I'm offfffffffffffffff

I'm on my way out and yes it's only 8:00am... I am showered and dressed...Rea is dressed. We're going down to eat breakfast...alittle Bible study homework...and Rea is off to Grammy's for a few hours. I have my list of stops and what I'm getting at each stop.

I have my list of peeps to call while I'm driving around from place to place. A. Pinder, if you read this, you are first on the list...your call is WAAYYY over due!

Christmas shopping will be done today! The rainy weather will not hinder my productivity. I can deal with the rain if it brings some cooler weather. I'm ready to wear a sweater or two. I might treat myself to some Starbucks...still working on a gift card from last Christmas. LOOOVVVEEE!

Ok, so enough talking....I'm offfffffffffffff

Pumpkin Patch 2009

WAY BACK in October, we continued the Adams family tradition of visiting the local church pumpkin patch. We might not have the weather or the scenery for the fall season, but we make the best of it. Good traditions....good times. It was very different this year having a baby that could move around. Last year we were trying to prop her up in between pumpkins to get a picture.

...my fabulous friend, Kim Haire, was born. This next year will be a HUGE year for her. She is marrying a great man in one month and four days. This is her last birthday with her current name!

Kim, my blog inspiration, mentor, and faithful follower, I hope today was fantastic! You deserve a day of celebrating Kim! I am blessed to have you as a friend. We have such a weird beginning...camp buddies. Statistically, we shouldn't have lasted this long! :) Regardless, we've made it this far. You are such a good balance for me and yet exactly like me at the same time. I am absolutely stoked for not only this next year, but the rest of our lives.

Happy 26th!!!! (Man, that is old....do you feel that old?)

This is the most recent picture I could find of us....

pOOOOOped!

It's final! This girl thrives on routines. I have subbed from high school/jr. high to kindergarten four out of the past 7 days, cleaned EVERY bathroom in our house, cleaned all tile floors, done several loads of laundry and dishes, watched the wild neighbor boys, couponed, grocery shopped, made several dinners (including making dinner and spending the evening with my fabulous in-laws), wrote a Bible lesson for both a 3 year old class and a 2 year old class at church, attended a small business meeting for my Shaklee business, helped a girlfriend organize her overwhelming guest bedroom, a million other things, AND THE GRAND FINALE.....participated in a fantastic, adrenaline filled Amazing Race: Giving Spree. It was a great ending to a full week!

We were in teams of 2-3 couples. We went to a variety of places to retrieve clues and assignments for the next stop. We bought toys for a family in need, personal hygiene products for a women's shelter, sang in Wendy's, made "grass angels", took treats to a local fire station to thank them, gave a bag of food to a local food bank, played Flip Cup with apple cider, etc. It was good clean fun! Crazy driving! Fabulous company! Great memories!

Anyway...my point of writing tonight....I'm realizing how difficult it is for me to switch from working mood to my other life. I love aspects of them both! I get going full-speed in one direction then immediately stop and go the other direction. I like predictability.....SURPRISED?!?

After another fun-filled weekend (family gatherings, wedding duties, Christmas productions, etc.), I need to get caught up with the other areas of life and the crud my girl had been battling for 3 months is raring his ugly head again....another post for another day. ("Raring his head"...is that the right saying?)

Christmas is almost here!!!! Or has it technically already arrived? Enough thinking for the week, I'm out....

Big girl + big seat = big day!

Reagan finally weighs enough that we could move her to a big seat. I got this massive seat for a fabulous price. She never disliked the previous seat, but this a necessary big change. Although these pictures show her unhappy, it is not because of the new seat. She was just tired.

ONE WORD....

BUSY!
Reagan is always on the go! She is always on a mission...or she thinks she is. We catch her intently studying all types of things....books, Velcro, buttons, containers, staplers, shoes, bags, etc.

I took these pictures consecutively. She found this plastic container I use to soak clothes, a bag of animal crackers, and something else.

Day with Lexi

Rea & I played with our little friend, Lexi, for a day. Reagan just loves her little baby. I hope they grow up to be great friends!
I first introduced you to Lexi a few months ago. She was born when we were on vacation...4 weeks earlier then we thought.Posted by Picasa

Catching up....

We are choosing to live busy, busy lives. We never want to forget the little things about our girl! Here are some of Rea's latest changes...
mastering the fork and spoon
still loves her Hershey's syrup bottle from the bottom shelf
working with fruit....carries around anything in sight...busy busy.
crazy hair
has a cute booty crack
