Today, a year ago, our Grandpa Bub passed away. Today I think about two ladies he left behind, Mom A and Grandma Kay.

I pray for supernatural peace for them today and strength and courage for the rest of their days.

We made sweet memories while remembering his life.

Certainly our loss here on earth, but his gain for eternity.

Well, hellllooooo!

Here I am!!!! You know where I've been. So without further ado, let's get to catching up.

Here are a few more picture from our trip to Ohio earlier this month. They are too good to pass up. The entire GORGEOUS clan...

Such beautiful people...inside and out! (seriously)Grandma & Grandpa's home for almost 60 years.

(M.I.L. grew up in this home.) littlest girl cousins

Rea almost two - Kaci almost one and a half - Addie right in the middle of the two
All the cousins! We returned from Alaska early Saturday morning. We spent Saturday SLEEPING and getting settled. We spent Sunday at church, Father's day lunch with the Adams side, and dinner with the Bray parentals. Today was a big day of getting back in the swing of things at home and at work. Tomorrow will be more of the same plus a new beginning for me at the library project. (Will have more on this after tomorrow.)

Happy , but busy days over here!

More to follow....

Update from the 941

We're home...yay! GREAT trip with GREAT people and GREAT memories....a lot of laughing and some crying. It was crammed pack (cram packed?) with events. The life of a great man was remembered. I might update with full story and pictures at a later date.

(family shot after the funeral - outside of family's childhood church)

Rea did so WELL being out of her element...ate well, played well, slept (pretty) well, traveled well! So proud of her!

Attended the baby shower tonight....so glad I was a part of it.

Bags unpacked, laundry started, child bathed, bedtime started, emails checked, blogs read, Facebook updated, grocery list made, and caught up with life in the 941.

I didn't miss Facebook, email, responsibilities, etc. at all.

Now I must....go to bed, focus on birthday party planning, do some grocery shopping, prepare church lessons, detox from caffeine and unhealthy eating, attend another funeral (a childhood friend's mom), then move towards Alaska!

Ahhhhh...

...that's me letting out a little scream.

So, our tickets got totally screwed up this morning and LONG story short, Jon had to catch a 4:30 flight today. I am now flying alone with Rea for the FIRST time! I will have Kels and Al nearby, so that will be super helpful. She will do great...I just get anxious about the unknown.

I have all the bags packed and the house tidied up. I love coming home to a clean house! We have shower and birthday party planning as soon as we get back.

Did I mention where we are going?!? We are going to Ohio for Grandpa Bub's funeral. :(

Bittersweet trip...excited to get away and see GREAT family and friends, but sad to say goodbye to Grandpa.

Talk in a few days! Take care!

WOW...60 years!

Last month we had a fantastic visit with grandparents from Ohio!!!! Many family meals, family pictures, time together, etc. We even celebrated their 60th wedding anniversary while they were here! Jon and I are just at 5 years....can't imagine 60...that is so cool...so rare these days!

These two are so very sweet, kind, thoughtful and they LOVE they're family....great examples for us all. Wish they lived closer! <3>
